Stephane, 20 years old, Saw Expert

After high school, I was looking for a job. One of my friends spoke to me about Forézienne MFLS where I applied for an opening.
At the beginning, I worked in several positions. I have been involved in the process of stellited band saw blade (teeth preparation) then I have been trained to become a saw expert. These training courses have been a success. My trainer has been patient with me and all the team supported me during this training period.
Forézienne MFLS is a good company. The relations between co-workers are great as well as the working conditions. I enjoy working for this company.

Charles, 22 years old, Levelling Expert in charge of the blade control

My first year at Forézienne MFLS, I was an apprentice. During this year, I worked 3 weeks at the company and 1 week at school. The balance between my job at Forézienne MFLS and school worked very well. My training period has been great and I worked in all production departments (welding, levelling, quality department…). Now I am totally versatile. The management team at Forézienne MFLS is great. I didn’t have any pressure on me. There is a true team spirit with my work mates. We are several apprentices at Forézienne MFLS. They take care of us and we feel right away to be part of the company. I subject this kind of experience as I have had at Forézienne MFLS.
Today, I am working full time for the company and I am leveling expert in charge of the blade quality control.

Michael, 38 years old, Skilled saw doctor and team leader

I was a repairman of household appliances in a little company where I wasn’t likely to have any professional promotion. So I decided to change job and to join Forézienne MFLS in 1999 to be in charge of stellite tipping. Then I became in charge of sharpening.
Forézienne MFLS is well-known for being at the cutting edge of technology so I could work on differents machines and use differents techniques (dry and wet grinding). Today, I do several jobs  : training of new employees, team management (7/8 employees) and sharpening of bandsawblades. My job is so evolutive.
I am proud about my career at Forézienne MFLS.
To work here, you have to be stringent, patient, precise and have  inter-personnal skills.

Jean-Louis, 46 years old, Band saw Specialist

I have been hired by Forézienne MFLS in 2004 after a first experience in a sawmill and an extensive training as sawdoctor. This experience helped me to understand all the steps of blade production. Now I can service all kind of blade whenever customer need to do it. Also, I am training the new Forézienne MFLS hired. When you are doing this job, you always learn new things.

If you work hard, you have real career future. This job is very specific as well as uncommon.
